When they finally find one, their chemistry together proves as challenging as the quest itself. These are test shots of the duo's island studio. I applied a Kuwahara filter in Blender's compositor to soften Cycles's digital edge. Day/night lighting variations require separate node trees—a cumbersome workflow with 1-minute+ render times per frame on a 4070 GPU. Kuwahara’s pretty fast though.
